Kharkiv will hold a campaign against the AIDS on November, 29 Social campaign for World AIDS Day will be held on November, 29 at Station Square.
 
Konstantin Bashkirov, the chairman of Kharkiv regional organization of Red Cross Society of Ukraine informed about it on November, 27.
 
During the campaign volunteers will be handing out condoms and information leaflets on HIV/ AIDS. The event will be held in cooperation with International Fund "Alliance" and the regional centre for prevention and control of AIDS. 
 
According to Konstantin Bashkirov, Kharkiv organization also conducts armwrestling tournaments. The aim of it is to instill tolerance towards people with HIV and to allow them feel comfortable in society. In addition, Kharkiv implements educational project "School of first aid": young people are taught how to help people before the ambulance comes, hold activities in certified European programs of control bleeding.
 
Note. World AIDS Day is held every year on December, 1. This day reminds of necessity to stop the global spread of HIV / AIDS. It was declared by WHO in 1988.
