Gennadiy Kernes congratulated veterans with the Liberation Day of Kharkiv

Official reception for the veterans on the occasion of the Town Day and the 69th anniversary of Kharkiv liberation was held today, August, 23, in Kharkiv city council.

Kharkiv city mayor Gennadiy Kernes greeted veterans with holidays and thanked them for the peaceful life.

«Today is a joyful and significant day – The Liberation Day of Kharkiv. Our duty is to make everything for the people who performed an exploit, showed courage and heroism, to show them our care. You lost your friends and close people in battlefield and in the rear. You are to feel that we need you. You did everything so our life would have improved. Thank You for your heroic deed. We wish you health, respect and confidence in the future», - Gennadiy Kernes marked.

All those who were present were awarded with the Certificate of Merit of Kharkiv city council. The deputies of city council and people's deputies of Ukraine took part in the conferment.

The city mayor emphasized that the team of deputies, who work for the achievement of stability, promises not to let veterans down and is always ready to help.
