Ukrainian-Indian Academic Center is opened in Kharkiv

Ukrainian-Indian Academic Center is opened in Kharkiv Ukrainian-Indian Academic Center was opened today, February,  7 at Kharkiv Karazin University.
 
Academic Center was opened by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of India in Ukraine Rajiv Chander. Indian diplomats, representatives of Karazin University and University Center of International Cooperation also took part in the event.
 
According to the organizers, this center will help to establish and maintain relations between Ukraine and India in the cultural, scientific and educational spheres. In particular, it will consist in promotion of student exchange programs, in a help and organization of leisure time of Indian students who are in Kharkiv.  
 
Rajiv Chander noted that it is important that Ukrainian-Indian Center was opened in the year of the 20th anniversary of establishing the diplomatic relations between the countries. "The participation of young generation is very important in establishment of mutual understanding between two countries. While visiting the university today I was impressed by the attention of students to Indology. I am absolutely sure that the center, we are opening today, will help to develop our cooperation," - the Ambassador said.
 
Rajiv Chander said that the Indian embassy in Ukraine will provide full support to the activities of the center. In particular, the center will help to carry the events that will be devoted to the Year of Ukrainian culture in India in 2013. The Year of Indian culture in Ukraine is planned to be held in 2014.
