Igor Terekhov: Kharkiv budget for 2025 is social

The budget of the Kharkiv city territorial community for 2025 provides for significant expenditures on social protection of the population.

This was announced by Mayor Igor Terekhov today, on 5 December, during a national telethon.

The mayor noted that this budget is a social budget, but it also includes funds for the development of Kharkiv.

‘The budget is aimed at social protection of the population. In particular, it includes funds for free public transport and free meals, which 44-45 thousand residents receive daily. In addition, for the first quarter of 2025, we have cancelled all local taxes and fees for entrepreneurs to keep businesses in Kharkiv. At the same time, we are attracting loans for the development of the city. In particular, we have allocated certain funds for the reconstruction of Kharkiv and the purchase of electric vehicles. Despite the fact that the budget is a social budget, we want to develop the city,’ said Igor Terekhov.
